Saskatchewan artist 2pound is nominated in the category of Rap Single of the Year at the Cut Hip Hop Awards 2016. The awards, presented by Canadian Urban Television, will be part of a weekend of events for both artists and fans, with a focus on up and coming talent, and will take place September 11 at the Winspear Centre, Edmonton AB.

Cquel has put out two singles and videos from his new record “Never Enough” (released February 26): the inspirational “Embracing The Dark,” followed by “Crash Course” in May. So far in 2016 Cquel has headlined a tour through Western Canada, followed by an Eastern Canadian tour out to Toronto in time for an official showcase at Canadian Music Week, before embarking on another tour into the U.S. and a performance at BC’s Electric Love Music Festival. His new album is currently charting on Earshot 

Jadius’ new single “So Over” debuted July 18 on Exclaim.ca. He draws on an number of genres such as funk, R&B, soul, rock and hip-hop to create his sound. “So Over” will appear on his upcoming EP, expected out this fall
