Voodoo, aka Joey Werepitiya, is a Regina hip-hop artist and songwriter. The album was inspired by a nearly 2-year journey traveling around the world; returning home, Voodoo began working with upcoming artists in the city. Based around an idea that “we’re all just delusional kids,” the album was created with the artist’s self-perceived delusions as the driving force to the sound and story. The 13-track LP is a myriad of electronica, trap and more traditional instrumentation that supports his rapping sound and style, which he has credited to the likes of Kendrick Lamar, Danny Brown and Kanye West.
