With Minor Matter’s debut release, they’ve chosen to group five tracks that suit each other well, while at the same time each track features a different character and genre, creating a shifting dynamic from one to the next. Beginning with ambient jazz-folk, it moves into a dark instrumental, then to a folk-pop style, a bluesy ghost-story with wild climaxes and haunting vocal tones, and finally a slow, heartbreaking, country-folk ballad of lost love featuring a duet with the impressive guitar vocal accompaniment by Laura Artus.
