Description
The Bassment is owned and operated by the Saskatoon Jazz Society (SJS) in the heart of downtown Saskatoon at 202 4th Ave N. It is an intimate and upscale venue of about 3800 square feet. Musicians from across North America praise the room’s crystal clear acoustics, the pristine Yamaha S6 grand piano, the tier one sound and lighting system, and the knowledgeable and appreciative full houses. The Bassment is an all-ages venue with fully accessible washrooms and a passenger elevator. If needed, a freight elevator is also available.
The Bassment was designed as a cabaret performance venue and is normally set up with tables and chairs. However, it is possible to configure the room to your specifications. The main seating area is approximately 1500 square feet and seats 150 comfortably with tables in place. The fully-carpeted stage area is about 400 sq. ft, and measures 26’ long X 15’ deep X 12’ high. The Green Room is about 200 sq. ft. and furnished with a washroom, a fridge, a printer, couches, and chairs.
The Bassment’s bar serves a variety of hard liquor, cocktails, and beer. A selection of red and white wines is available by the glass, bottle, or carafe. Food service includes appetizers such as pita chips and dip, nachos, and bruschetta. Credit and debit card service is provided for ticket, food, and beverage purchases.
