Calling all high school jazz enthusiasts!
Interested in demystifying soloing? Come join local musician and educator Emmett Fortosky and his quartet for an interactive 1-hour introduction to improvisation. This free workshop will be offered on two dates and no registration is required. The workshops focus on learning about basic techniques in soloing in jazz music, and the importance of expression and community within music. Bring yourself, your instrument (vocalists are welcome), something to take notes with, and your excitement!
Workshop dates are April 17th and 24th, both from 4:30-5:30 PM in Room 1036 in the Education Building at the University of Saskatchewan.
