Conferences and Showcases are great opportunities for artists to develop in new markets. They offer musicians a chance to reach fans, industry professionals and established touring acts from across the country that might not otherwise have the chance to see their live show. Going to a conference can take a big investment of money, time and effort. Just showing up to the event certainly doesn’t guarantee success, as many acts have discovered the hard way. Join SaskMusic Program Manager Kaelen Klypak, and Trifecta Artistic Director/Performing artist, Marvin Chan (Samurai Champs), as they provide strategies on how to get the most out of your showcasing opportunity. We'll cover things such as pre-conference prep, what to bring with you, how to promote your showcase, perfecting your elevator pitch, along with many other topics of discussion!

This is a recommended lab even if you don't have any showcase invitations on your horizon, but may be attending conferences/networking events in the future.

Preregistration for this event is required. A webinar option is available on October 3 for those who can't join us in person. Give us a call at (306) 347-0676 with any questions you may have. Hope to see you then!
