Jon Brooks & The Outskirts Of Approval are: Jon Brooks (vocals/guitar/piano), Vivienne Wilder (Upright Bass/Vocals), and Joe Ernewein (electric guitar/pedal Steel). Jon also performs solo or as a duo with longtime friend and collaborator, Neil Cruickshank. Brooks’ music is polyphonic in sound, word, and influence. His performances are emotionally intense raids on the inexplicable human heart. As of 2019 he’s released 7 albums - all of which are thematic obsessions over paradox, love, fear, religion, war, PTSD, technology, grief, animal justice, murder, ecology, esoterica, and the stars - his essential message: Endure, in good faith, you are loved.
