When

  • December 26, 2019 - Showtime: 9:00pm

FREE CUTE BOXING DAY SHOW at The Cure. 9:00pm.

This will be a ripping night, so don't miss it. This will be Good Friend's first show - the band features members of the Definitelays. Chris Sleightholm, from Snake River just put out a record. The Won't just recorded a record. The holidays will still be in effect on this night, so there's lots of reasons that this night will be good. Make sure you write the date in your diary.

Good Friend:
Tough and tender is the mantra of this group’s musical niche, as they dish out songs that are equal parts languid and urgent. Formed out of the cycles of change and transformation, Good Friend brings stripped down riffs and interweaving harmonies to serve up phased, delayed, and distorted galactic rockage.
Interchangeably whispy and raw vocals float over soft and crashing guitar melodies, grounding bass lines, and powerful percussion.
Taylor Marshall, Candace Benson, and Sara Derksen form this musical creation, and like a good friend, this trio’s musical beams energize and restore.

Christopher Sleightholm & The Beautiful Boys Band:
Christopher Sleightholm (of Snake River) just released his second record under his own name. The album is called Last Year's Winter, and features the talent of Kacy & Clayton, and local Dawgs often found in Alleys. The new album is the follow up to 2018's album Two Animals Raging At The Storm Outside. Christopher's solo work meets at the cross-section between English folk and country music, with a twist of 60s psych in there too. BBBand features Andy Beisel and Ian Cameron.

The Won'ts:
More eager than angry, more surf than klezmer. Equally Alan Jackson and Bo Jackson. Newer than Velcro and older than the floss. The Won’ts are good vibes and hot bods. The greatest part about The Won’ts is that they’re all best friends!
