The Saskatchewan Country Music Association Saskatoon Region and the University of Saskatchewan Agricultures Student Society (Agros) have teamed up with the Longbranch Good Times Beverage Company to present the Saskatchewan Country Stars Show and Dance Friday, November 9th, 2018. The show is also supported by the Saskatoon Media Group and their Country Stations 600 CJWW and the 92.9 the Bull.
“We wanted to present an evening of music not only for our artists but also for the fans alike,” commented Darcey Rathgeber, President of the SCMA Saskatoon and Region, adding, “Our new partnership with the Agros provides our association a fantastic opportunity for many more performing opportunities.”
This event will feature four of Saskatoon’s greatest bands bringing you live country music and a fantastic showcase of the talent here in our city.
The performers chosen to take the stage on November 9 were announced last night during Ag night at the Longbranch. They include high energy performer Greg Kozak, recording artist Lane Shields, SCMA Group of the Year Award winner Aces Wyld and multiple SCMA award winning artist Lisa Moen.
“After sifting through many submissions, we decided that these four artists have earned the opportunity to perform at the inaugural event with our new partnership with the Agros. They all bring music that is familiar and relatable and bring a high energy to their performances. I have no doubt that they will put on a fabulous presentation of their artistry.”
Tickets for this event go on sale Friday October 19, 2018 and are available for only $10.00. The can be purchased on campus from the U of S Agriculture Student Society, at the Long Branch or from any of the artists.
