The Exchange presents Great Lake Swimmers. Band songwriter Tony Dekker has nuzzled this project into the hearts of many Canadians, blending personal and melancholic roots songs with a folk-rock side and a deep interest in the natural world. Their latest album, The Waves, The Wake, marks a departure for Dekker and the act, as they fill the sonic landscape with woodwinds, harp, piano, hushed vocals, and anything but his usual acoustic guitar. The evolution keeps with significant back catalogue in finding connections in the beauty that surrounds us. The Waves, The Wake comes out in August on Nettwerk.
