GrassRoots Regina is pleased to present multiple Juno Award nominee and winner Bill Bourne in concert.

With a career spanning more than thirty years, Bourne is one of Canada’s most revered roots and blues artists.

Opening set by Madison Nicol.

Bourne began his professional music career in 1975 and released his first album in 1982. Over the years he has toured and recorded solo, but is, perhaps, best known for his collaborations with other musicians including: Scotland’s Tannahill Weavers, Alan MacLeod, Shannon Johnson (The McDades), Hans Stamer and Andreas Schuld, Tri-Continental (Madagascar Slim and Lester Quitzau), Eivor Palsdottir, and Bop Ensemble (Wyckam Porteous and Jas Ohlhauser). Bourne is an activist for social justice as well as being a gifted and creative musician. He has been an important part of the roots and blues music scene over the span of his career. His ravaged poetry, powerful rhythms and soulful melodies are steeped in world beat, folk, funk, blues and more. A multiple Canadian Juno Award winner, Bourne has received international acclaim for his recordings and live performances.
