Terraplane

Terraplane is swampy four-piece delta blues belted out by Regina’s friendliest bluesman Shane Reoch and his tight band. The band has played several venues in the past few years, and recently released its debut cd, consisting of eight tracks. Terraplane played the 2016 Mid-Winter Blues Festival and returns to the 2018 festival with what promises to be a smooth main stage appearance.

Saskatoon’s Legendary Rhythm and Blues Revue

The band traces it routes back to the Saskatchewan SaskTel Jazz festival of 2006. Three of the originals remain in the reimagined R&B showband that rebooted in 2012. A consistent lineup has resulted in a show that surprises many that it is from here on the prairies. Three lead vocalists allow the band a great range of material. The Regina Winter Blues Festival will see a sample of their tribute showcase of tunes that have formed the sound tracks of many of your most memorable movies such as the Blues Brothers and the Commitments.

Sufficient Condition

Regina’s Sufficient Condition made its Mid-Winter Blues Festival debut in the 2017 version, hunkering into a Saturday afternoon showcase slot. Now they’ve been invited into a Thursday main stage appearance. With a love of great blues music and friendship, the band covers artists like Susan Tedeschi, Aretha Franklin, Etta James, Jonny Lang and Jeff Beck. The band consists of Lynette Leibel -Vocals, Greg Elliott – Guitar, Carol Kingston – Keyboards and Betty Elliott – Drums.

Gord Arnold

Veteran Regina blues performer Gord Arnold returns to the 2018 Mid-Winter Blues Festival. Arnold released his debut cd ‘Peace Sugar Blood’ in 2015, which beckons as an eclectic mix of smoky acoustic and electric guitar-driven rock blues. Arnold is a delta man through and through, and his opening set on the Thursday main stage will undoubtedly fulfill the audience’s penchant for sweet acoustic blues.
