Alex Runions

With a Billboard erected in his hometown by the folks of Kipling, Saskatchewan, Alex Runions, is a familiar act in the Saskatchewan music scene but industry experts are betting the singer/songwriter will breakout nationally in 2016. With the release of his 3rd charting single, If I Won The Lotto, and a fun and heartwarming music video shot in Nashville, TN – Runions trajectory is rapidly moving upward. As the 2016 top nominated male artist with the Saskatchewan Country Music Association, Runions leads with nominations in 5 categories; Entertainer of The Year, Make Vocalist of The Year, Song of The Year, Single of The Year & Album of The Year. Performing across the country for over a decade and on the same stages as Gord Bamford, Dallas Smith and Rodney Atkins, Runions resume includes Big Valley Jamboree, Craven Country Jamboree and Dauphin CountryFest. With his honest voice, tireless dedication and heartfelt approach, Runions is someone to watch.

Elly Thorn

Hailing from the East Central Saskatchewan community of Saltcoats, Elly Thorn is a Canadian singer-songwriter, who lives to perform. Typical of rural life, Thorn took music lessons and began her music career as a teenager with the touring musical revue, Saskatchewan Express. She auditioned and was selected to be part of Spirit of a Nation, a showcase of original Canadian music, song and dance designed to celebrate Canada’s land, cultures and history.

Elly was also selected to study at the prestigious Canadian College of Performing Arts in Victoria, B.C. She honed her musical talents aboard Norwegian Cruise Lines and has landed several acting roles including the TV series, Rabbit Fall (2006) and Corner Gas (2009), and also performed with Persephone Theatre in Evita and Toon Town.

With three albums to her credit she is proud to include original songs such as: Dear John, Twelve Thirty Four, and so it is. Her latest album is a mix of her own tunes along with uniquely arranged covers.

Sweet Millie is the first release from her latest offering. This self-penned track is a great way to break the ice with radio, an easy name to remember and a voice you won’t forget.
