To even call Dick MacInnis a do-it-yourselfer is an understatement; a more apt title would be an artist whose medium is life. And while he's a politician, builder, technician, entrepreneur and an ordained minister, he's most in control of his talents as a musician. He's been writing, recording, and producing music both as a solo artist and as a member of several Canadian bands including Pleasurefly and the $ellout$
His songs are memorable and clever whether he's singing about love, suffering, or letting go, and his style is as enigmatic as his subject matter, skipping from country, through alternative, and into power pop before groovy dance rhythms.
Energetic, interactive, charming, and oftentimes funny, he's also got top notch musicianship and a great live sound with a professional yet easy going attitude.
