Patti Fedrau (Patti Layne)is a singer/songwriter who grew up in Saskatchewan, singing in choirs. She moved to Europe in her 20s and was signed as a solo artist, singing mainly in French, by EMI, and later Polygram, releasing an album and many singles, including the song “Une espece de Canadienne”, written by Didier Barbelivian, which sold over 100,000 copies.

She has appeared on many TV shows in France, Belgium and Switzerland. She played many gigs in the UK and before that toured extensively in France. She has written and co-written many songs for herself and other artists, eventually releasing an album in English, ‘Prairie Burn’ under the name Patti Layne. Her original songs have been described as Urban Folk or Adult contemporary. Her songs are like stories that range from sensitive, dark, sexy, humorous, touching and quirky.  Her vocals are warm, intimate, strong and honest.
Patti has been living in Saskatoon since 2019 and performs mostly in 2 bands; a duo with her sister, Wild Prairie and a 5 piece band, Patti & the Stack. She released a new album in December 2024, ‘Nouns’ under the name Patti Fedrau which can be found on most streaming platforms.
