Brian Paul D.G. and Friends Album Release: "on our own together (act 3 of 3)"

Excited to release their 5th professionally produced album, Brian Paul D.G. and Friends are set to release part 3 of an album project series called "on our own together." Part 1 was much more the on-our-own-like part, and parts 2 and 3 are progressively more the together-like parts. Each song and album speaks to the theme, in a kind of hell to purgatory to heaven like way, with humble and sure tones of hopeful evolution of individual/collective discernment and skill!
Continuing to draw from his own challenges of a broken family experience (and being separated from his 2 children much more and much longer than he ever would have imagined!) many many years ago, and his many years of self-inquiry and exposure to various cultures and old wisdom traditions, Brian is most certainly still using soulful music and poetry as a way to remain connected, available and prayerful with himself, his children, the world and holistic health and joy! Brian's challenges and revelations with mental health and addiction are most certainly associated with his medicinal refuge in music, poetry, and other such healthy body/heart/mind practices.

On Our Own Together (Act 1)
Part 1 of this three-part album series highlights the voice, guitar and harmonica of Brian Paul D.G. mostly on his own, as well as three other friends and bandmates presenting poems on their own. Part 2 and 3 will come out later highlighting more bandmates playing together! The album titles' themes lives throughout each song and certainly within each album, each on their own, and yes you guessed it, altogether also... relationships with others and oneself, subtle politics, infinite mystery and ultimately humour and humility are the themes that run throughout.

In anticipation of part 1 of a 3 part album series on the way out, this music video is yet another step towards the release of "on our own together (act 1") from Brian Paul D.G. and Friends! The 3 part album's first act is one that emphasizes the 'on our own' part of the "on our own together" series, and this video is a live recording from this part 1 album release of this album which is exclusively out on bandcamp and in cd format since November 20, 2022. The song 'pure experience' is recorded on the album with just Brian Paul D.G. on his own with guitar and harmonica, but shows up exclusively here for this live off the floor music video recording with piano and Brad Lafontaine on stand up bass. Act 1 of on our own together will be officially released on all major streaming platforms December 29, 2022.

As originally inspired musicians and singer-songwriters with many irons in the fire, Brian Paul D.G. and his ever-evolving musical friends (aka 'the divine comedians' and/or 'the band with many names project') offer a dynamic synergy of traditional and primarily original compositions with a focus on story-telling, universal poetry and potentially all inclusive harmonies!
Although playing music for his whole life, Brian's career as a singer-songwriter began around 2004 as an integrated and continuing path of practice and study in regards to music, poetry, philosophy, psychology, ancient traditions, clear communication and joyful being! He has since been intimately and increasingly involved with presentations of live music, special events, as a facilitator of 'heart song sharing circles,' and other such workshops... all of that within various settings such as cafe's, at markets, festivals, schools, children's groups, care homes, hospitals, healing circles, gardens, community centers, music halls, theatres, yoga studios, churches, bars, weddings, funerals, birthday parties and sow on!
Brian's singing and song writing process is a continuing holistic and joyful practice of all ways evolving inspiration for him and his friends to live a balance of city and country life, in as much beneficial harmony as can be... with earth, sky, all relations in between and beyond!
As a student practitioner forever of the art and science of life, health and happiness, Brian has a variety of passions, relationships and studies connected with many community groups near and far, with singing, music, drumming, dance, story-telling, poetry, meditation, holistic and ecological health awareness and nature appreciation that certainly aims to resonate through the music!
On his own or with band mates, Brian is glad to show up and share his inspired passion and crafty care with individuals and/or groups!
