SaskMusic is seeking a contracted Coordinator to support programming for Women in Music Saskatchewan (WIMS).
About the Role
This is a remote term contract running from late June 2026 through March 31, 2027. The contract is estimated at approximately 180 hours total, distributed throughout the term.
The total contract fee is $4,000 CAD, paid in installments as key milestones and deliverables are completed.
While the role is primarily remote, the Coordinator must be available to travel within Saskatchewan to support in-person event delivery as required.
Position Overview
The WIMS Coordinator will play a key role in strengthening community connections and delivering meaningful programming for women and gender-diverse music professionals in Saskatchewan.
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting community outreach and engagement
- Planning and coordinating quarterly meetups (online and/or in-person)
- Organizing workshops and events relevant to the Women in Music community
- Managing and monitoring event budgets, ensuring activities remain within allocated resources
- Supporting the development of additional programming opportunities
- Representing the Saskatchewan chapter in national meetings with Women in Music Canada (WIMC)
- Collaborating, where appropriate, with regional WIM chapters across Canada
This position reports to the Executive Director of SaskMusic.
About Women in Music Saskatchewan
Women in Music Saskatchewan is a regional chapter of Women in Music Canada (WIMC), a national organization with chapters across the country.
WIMS and WIMC aim to centre and support women, non-binary, trans, Two-Spirit, and gender-diverse individuals at all stages of their careers in the music industry, whether creative or professional.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must:
- Reside in Saskatchewan
- Be legally eligible to work in Saskatchewan
- Be able to travel within the province for event delivery as required
Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who:
- Has strong organizational and communication skills
- Has experience in event planning, coordination, or community engagement
- Is comfortable with budgeting and financial tracking
- Is actively engaged in the Saskatchewan music community (e.g., as a musician, artist, agent, promoter, or in another relevant role)
- Is passionate about equity, inclusion, and supporting gender diversity in music
- Can work independently and manage time across a flexible contract schedule
