Calling all Saskatchewan musicians! Creative Saskatchewan’s grants for the music sector are officially open.
Tour Support Grant
This grant supports commercially viable touring opportunities for eligible Saskatchewan musicians touring in Canada and abroad. Please note that the Live Performing Arts stream of this grant has been absorbed into the Live Performing Arts Production and Performance Grant.
Once the program opens, applicants will have until June 2, 2025, to retroactively submit applications for eligible events that took place April 1, 2025, to May 6, 2025.
Applicants may apply for a maximum of $15,000 or 50% of the total eligible cash budget, whichever is the lesser.
Applicants are eligible for a maximum of two Tour Support Grants per year.

Sound Recording Grant
This grant supports the production of commercially-viable sound recordings for promotional use and/or commercial release. There are two streams of funding available to eligible applicants:
Single or Extended Play (EP) Sound Recording:
This stream assists with the production of a collection of songs that are intended for release as an extended play (EP) recording package and/or as individually released singles.
Requirements:
- Successful applicants must produce a minimum of one to six professionally recorded songs
- The total recording length should be under 40 minutes running time. A longer total running time due to genre standards needs to be addressed within the application.
- The songs are intended for commercial release.
Applicants are eligible for a maximum of 50% of eligible expenses up to $10,000 per project (whichever is the lesser).
Full Length (LP) Sound Recording
This stream assists with the production of a full-length sound recording.
Requirements:
- The project must result in at least six songs of recorded material.
- The recording must be more than 30 minutes of total running time.
- The recording is intended for commercial release.
Applicants are eligible for a maximum of 50% of eligible expenses up to $15,000 per project (whichever is the lesser).
