Singer and Songwriter Eileen Laverty Releases New Music Video for “Joey”
Saskatchewan-based singer and songwriter Eileen Laverty released a compelling new music video in support of her single, Joey. The video, produced by Greg Hargarten, explores a new (and emotional) take on Concrete Blonde’s famous rock anthem.
Greg Hargarten is an award-winning musician and producer, visual artist, and filmmaker in Saskatoon whose past work includes over 70 videos in themes ranging from music storytelling to art instruction, and the well-known Men Who Paint series.
The recording features Jesse Brown on piano and string arrangement. Jesse and Eileen worked together to produce the single which was released earlier this year. The song has quickly become one of Laverty’s top streaming songs on all major platforms.
Jesse Brown is a prolific writer and recording artist in the ambient modern classical solo piano realm. With over half a million monthly listeners on Spotify alone, and with editorial placements on all of the major streaming platforms, Jesse’s work is wellrespected by colleagues, playlist editors, and fans around the world.
Eileen has entertained audiences across Canada and abroad with her soulful voice and heartfelt lyrics. Her unique brand of folk music has been featured in film and television programs, and landed her performances with a diverse range of artists, including the late country legend Kenny Rogers, rocker Tom Cochrane, Canadian Tenor John McDermott, and the Saskatoon Symphony Orchestra. Her music reflects a broad range of influences and inspiration, and is rooted in her love of a good story. www.EileenLaverty.com
