REBECCA STRONG wins $1M from Rogers, the biggest cash prize in Canadian television history, plus financial advice, courtesy of CIBC, to help realize their ambitions 

TORONTO (May 14, 2024) – Canadians from coast-to-coast-to-coast cast their votes and the results are in. REBECCA STRONG from Prince Albert, Saskatchewan is the Canada’s Got Talent Season 3 champion after impressing the audience, the #CGT judges – Howie Mandel, Lilly Singh, Kardinal Offishall, Trish Stratus – and host Lindsay Ell with her captivating voice during tonight’s highly-anticipated live two-hour finale on Citytv and Citytv+.

Rebecca Strong on Canada’s Got Talent Finale, Tuesday May 14!

Prince Albert artist Rebecca Strong is one of eight remaining performers who will appear on television show Canada's Got Talent's Live Finale airing tomorrow, Tuesday, May 14 on Citytv and Citytv+, 6pm Saskatchewan time. The eight are vying for a prize of one million dollars, with the winner to be determined by public vote.

Having received a "Golden Buzzer" and a cash prize of $25,000 on the March 26 episode, Rebecca next survived the ‘Elimination’ show, going straight on to the finale with her emotional delivery of Olivia Rodrigo’s “drivers license.”

Music lovers will be able to vote for their favourite act in the LIVE finale by visiting citytv.com/vote during the show, between 6:10pm-7:30pm SK time. Each email address can vote up to 3x.

Rebecca Strong is a 20-year-old Indigenous performer from Prince Albert.  She is Dene Suline and her home town is Stony Rapids SK. Rebecca was born into a musical family and has been performing her entire life; her first time on a stage was 5 years old at Voices of the North. Rebecca has taught herself piano and ukulele, and is becoming known for her live performances on TikTok, where she has amassed over a quarter million followers. She has also performed in many local shows like the Winter Festival in Prince Albert, Search for the Stars, SaskTel Indigenous Youth Awards, the 2023 Saskatchewan Music Awards (watch that performance here), and many more. Social media and music are her biggest passions and what she aspires to do as a career.
