Are you a Saskatchewan musician eager to make a positive impact in remote and underserved communities while expanding your skills and gaining valuable work experience in music instruction? Look no further! The Community Arts Mentorship Program is thrilled to announce a unique partnership with the Canada Council for the Arts aimed at providing training and mentorship opportunities for musicians interested in working with remote and underserved Indigenous communities.

The Community Arts Mentorship Program recognizes the invaluable role that musicians play in enriching communities through music education. Whether you're passionate about giving back to your community, gaining work experience in music instruction, or expanding your practice to administer music education in an educational setting, this program is designed for you.

Through this collaboration, selected participants will have the opportunity to:
● Give back to the community by sharing their musical talents and knowledge with remote and underserved Indigenous communities.
● Gain hands-on work experience in the field of music instruction under the guidance of experienced mentors.
● Receive compensation for their contributions while expanding their practice in educational settings.
● Access training and mentorship opportunities tailored to their individual needs and goals.

The Community Arts Mentorship Program is currently offering mentorship opportunities in the
communities of La Ronge and Stanley Mission. Applicants will be required to spend 1-2 weeks in these communities to learn alongside our Community Arts Mentorship Program instructors. A vulnerable sector check and criminal record check will be required.

To learn more about this exciting opportunity and how to get involved, interested musicians are encouraged to contact The Community Arts Mentorship Program at campsaskarts@gmail.com.
