SASKATCHEWAN JAZZ FESTIVAL INC. — OPEN CALL FOR NEW BOARD MEMBERS

Each summer, the SaskTel Saskatchewan Jazz Festival kicks off the season as thousands of music fans devour the sounds of jazz, blues, funk, pop, rock, hip hop, folk, country, and world music across the city. Saskatoon comes alive and plays host to both local and world class artists with a program that spans as many genres as it does continents.

The inaugural Jazz Festival was presented in 1987, and the Saskatchewan Jazz Festival Inc. (the “SJF”) was created in 1992. The SJF operates as a non-profit corporation and registered charity. It is governed by a board of directors and employs permanent and part-time staff. It reports to its sole member, the Saskatoon Jazz Society. The presentation of the annual Jazz Festival is also enabled by a skilled team of local service providers and a volunteer base of over 300 community members.

The SJF is currently recruiting skilled and energetic people to serve on their board of directors and to contribute to the oversight of their vibrant, growing and dynamic organization. If you are passionate about the SJF’s mission and serving your community, apply now!
