Cultural Festivals produces a series of cultural events, including an international kite festival and music festival in Swift Current, Saskatchewan.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Reporting to the Board, the Operations Manager oversees and manages the general operations and infrastructure of Cultural Festivals including, but not limited to, financial and operations management, marketing, and public relations. The Operations Manager will implement the organization's vision and strategic plan.

Cultural Festivals encompasses the Long Day's Night Music Festival as well as SaskPower Windscape Kite Festival.
The Windscape Kite Festival is a two-day, family festival that features children's activities, kite performers in SW Swift Current. The Long Day's Night Music Festival takes place over 4 nights alongside the kite festival, offering a diverse selection of Canadian music.
The Student Event Coordinator will provide organizational assistance for both festivals under the direction of the Festival Organizers. The main tasks include various administrative duties such as printing, laminating, document writing, promotional distribution, cataloging supplies, etc., volunteer recruitment, and entire festival site set-up and tear down as well as direct involvement with infrastructure preparations including working with a team to erect large tents, build fences, and paint. It also includes offering kite-building workshops to young students as well as involvement in various community events. The position will also include providing support to the operations manager an where requested in marketing and promotion of the events through social media management, website updates, press releases, etc.
