WCMA R&B Artist of the year nominee, TOVA, goes back to his roots on new song, "7 Days"!
Off the back of the successful release of Island, acclaimed Canadian RnB singer, TOVA, has published a new track "7 Days". "7 Days" is an Afropop influenced bop, signaling a change in approach for the singer. "7 Days" showcases the honest, introspective writing that TOVA has made his stock in trade since his debut in 2020. On this song, he discusses leaving home and working towards his dreams. The song features kaleidoscopic production with contributions from frequent collaborators Emmanuel Ogunsakin & Graham Tilsley. "7 Days" also features a guest appearance from reclusive Nigerian singer, Ajani.
Speaking of the song, TOVA said: “7 Days is near and dear to me because I have been wanting to do something in this style for a long time. It's new and different from all of the things I have done before, and that's exciting. This song has given me the opportunity to talk about leaving home, having to work hard because other people have worked hard to position you for success. That means something to me and I know many people will be able to relate to that. ”
