ABOUT C/O POP FESTIVAL

"The c/o pop Festival has been bringing national and international acts from the fields of electro, indie, hip hop/rap and related styles to Cologne's stages since 2004 - including both established artists and newcomers. In recent years, the focus has increasingly shifted towards national newcomers - after all, c/o pop sees itself as a festival of discovery.

Highlights include special events such as the pop-NRW Award, where the best acts from NRW are chosen, label evenings, showcases and networking events, where labels, musicians and other players can get to know each other.

The past few years have shown that the concept works: a number of national acts such as The Whitest Boy Alive, BrandtBrauerFrick, Moderat, Roosevelt, Dillon and AnnenMayKantereit played at the festival long before their breakthrough, proving that the c/o pop festival is an ideal springboard - also for international success. In 2019, the organizers have completely revamped the c/o pop concept and, what's more, made a double move: For the first time, the festival took place at the beginning of the season and thus in May, moving from the Belgian Quarter to the colorful Ehrenfeld.

The c/o pop Convention takes place parallel to the festival and is the first industry gathering of the year for the music industry and cooperating industries such as digital economy and games. Here, keynotes, talks, presentations, workshops and training sessions take a practical look at the future. There are also plenty of opportunities to network. The c/o pop Convention sees itself as a platform for networking and interaction for bands, artists and the entire associated ecosystem.

One focus is on presenting and promoting the music professionals of tomorrow. In keynotes, talks, lectures and workshops, we take a practical look at the future of the industry and impart valuable knowledge. The VUT Indie Days Cologne and the TINCON Cologne complete the program. Together with you we want to find new ways to shape the future of pop culture. Of course, there will be plenty of networking opportunities along the way. The conference for everyone who wants to start the season with new contacts and ideas."
