SaskMusic will also be conducting a return export mission to Reeperbahn this year. Events will kick off in Berlin where music companies have the opportunity to participate in a pre-Reeperbahn business initiative that the Canadian Independent Music Association (CIMA) is working on with Berlin’s Reeperbahn office, the Canadian Music Publishers’ Association, and the Canadian embassy. The initiative includes a full day of business events at the Canadian embassy (round table and speed dating sessions).

In Hamburg, Canadian companies will get the opportunity to participate in a “Meet the Canadians” matchmaking session with German industry on the Thursday.

Canada House showcases, featuring 24 Canadian artists, will take place on September 20-21 at venue Kukuun. We’re thrilled to have 3 Saskatchewan artists on the bill: Nick Faye, Rosie & the Riveters, and Shirley & the Pyramids. Stay tuned to our socials for updates!

The Reeperbahn Festival will present more than 900 events spanning a range of genres in locations around Hamburg’s Reeperbahn. Since its debut in 2006, Reeperbahn has grown to become one of the most important meeting places for the music industry worldwide, and, as Europe’s largest club festival, it boasts a broad spectrum of emerging and more established artists. In addition to some 600 concerts by international artists held in a wide variety of venues, the festival programme includes events in the fields of fine art, film, literature, and education. The Reeperbahn conference programme is designed for professionals active in the music and creative digital industries and features sessions, showcases, networking events, and awards ceremonies (www.reeperbahnfestival.com/en/frontpagehttp://www.reeperbahnfestival.com/en/frontpage).
