On May 28th, Saskatoon-based electro psych-pop band, Ponteix, launched a live performance video of their yet unreleased song "Supernova". The video was shot at La Piaule studio in St. Bernardin, ON where Ponteix has been recording their first full-length record between shows out east.
Shot and produced by Montréal filmmaker/photographer Jean-Philippe Sansfaçons, the video gives viewers a taste of Ponteix’s ever evolving sound.
Since the release of Ponteix’s Debut EP “J’Orage” in May 2016, the project, led by Mario Lepage, has received much acclaim including “Francophone Artist of the Year” during the WCMA’s 2017, and “Best EP”, “Discovery of the year” & “Best visual concept” during Trille Or 2017.
After returning from a german tour accompanying and opening for electro soul artist Rayannah, Ponteix departs on a tour of the prairies featuring a handful of very special shows in Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba. The tour will kick off with their video release party in Saskatoon at the Capitol June 1st.
