Born from the province’s first free, multi-genre arts & culture festival, Trifecta Music Festival, Trifecta is a Saskatchewan-based music festival, concert series, and artist collective. Based in their province's two urban centres – the “Bridge City”, Saskatoon, and the “Queen City”, Regina, Trifecta promotes diversity within the independent arts and strives to establish the new sound of the prairies.
In the past 18 months, artists from Trifecta’s collective - Samurai Champs, LOA, and Tefrondon have achieved international successes, showcasing in festivals such as SXSW, The Great Escape, and FOCUS Wales. They have garnered notable press from publications such as VICE Noisey, Exclaim!, and UK’s biggest independent music blog, The Line of Best Fit. As a collective, Trifecta’s work in community building has also received coverage in VICE Noisey and Exclaim!, as well as most recently in award-winning UK music news site, Gigwise, in the article, Yearning For Community In The Land of The Living Skies.
Trifecta is currently touring Western Canada & Ontario, as well as preparing for their upcoming export mission to New Skool Rules, the world’s largest international urban-based conference festival, taking place in Rotterdam, Netherlands this May. Three artists from Trifecta’s collective, Samurai Champs, LOA, and VBRTR, will be showcasing at the festival, representing urban western Canada on New Skool Rules’ very first BreakOut West stage.
