After 10 tours and 4 releases, The Faps have fully captured their chaotic, dirty, engaging live show and bizarre, heavy “anti-rock” music with their first full-length, "Grimelda". The album maintains an abrasive post-punk backbone while experimenting with style and structure, utilizing elements of pop, math-rock, folk, and jazz through interesting collaborations. Megan Nash lends her voice along with Laura Beach (Twin Voices) who contributes vocals and violin on multiple songs. Erik Hepp (Swayze, A Ghost in Drag) provides a blazing guitar solo in contrast to the brass, banjo, and mandolin courtesy of Jeffrey Popiel (Minor Matter, Juniperus). All of this and more is woven through the strange, gritty guitar-and-drum duo with the help of sound engineer Mike Lefebvre.
