Saskatoon Singer/Songwriter, Pete Oldridge, reaches Finalist status in the 2017 Canadian Songwriting Competition for his track 'Double Rainbros'. The Canadian Songwriting Competition is an annual competition that seeks to support Canadian music and artists. The competition is an opportunity for songwriters to gain exposure, get discovered, and win cash and merchandise prizes from sponsors (https://songwritingcanada.com/).

The honour is jury-selected including luminaries such as Sam Roberts of Sam Roberts Band and many A&R representatives from labels across the nation. Oldridge has been a musician for a number of years in the province and currently leads the funk/rock band, "The Great Fuss". The Fuss presents a beautifully varied show, possessing an energy that is infectious with the dynamic voice of Pete Oldridge complimented by his chiming, rhythm-chopping guitar along with the scintillating riffs of Chris Valleau.
