Brandy Moore released original song “Just Because I’m Alive” with 60% of net sales from the song being donated to Basic Income Canada Network, U.S. Basic Income Guarantee and Basic Income Earth Network. The song was used at the Universal Basic Income in the Asia Pacific congress held in Taiwan in March; Brandy was invited to perform it at the North American Basic Income Guarantee Congress (NABIG 2017) in New York City in June and the upcoming 17th annual BIEN (Basic Income Earth Network) congress in Lisbon, Portugal in September.
