Birthed from destruction, Regina based alt-rock group, Grim, all started as a love letter between
reconciliation and creation. Lead with female fire and siren-strength, Grim’s sound stitches wound
into battle cry. Their debut EP, Monsters, is to be released June 2, 2017 at the Artful Dodger.
With surges of sound that move from blues notes to flamenco swells, from waltz steps to rock pits,
Monsters rhythms traverse the alternative genre. Monsters is a musical embodiment of the
ritualistic attempt at recovery, and gives voice to the frenzied suffering experienced by those left in
addictions wake.

Grim headlines the Artful Dodger June 2, 2017 with doors at 7:30PM. Grim is made up of Léa
Arngrimson (Vox/Guitar), Jeff Lunde (Percussion), Shelynn Taneal (Vox), and Brandon Nicholson
(Bass) Supporting acts include Friends of Foes, Computer Sweat and Newera, as well as pop-up
shops from Understand Us and Phantasma Photography.

“Grim’s Monsters lies in the gravelly alley where the blues and grunge meet.” Jeremy Pilon, Host of
91.3 FM CJTR’s, The Cockpit. Jeremy will also be emcee of this debut CD release.
Tickets are available for $10 each at the door. For more information, please contact Lea Arngrimson
