This workshop will cover the basics of business and intellectual property law and is available to all members of the creative industries in Saskatchewan. This is great opportunity to learn more about IP and business law from an experienced legal professional.
The event will cover:
    •    The basics of business law: Should I incorporate?
    •    The basics of intellectual property: What are patents, trademarks, trade secrets, and copyright?
    •    How do I protect and enforce my intellectual property?
    •    Doing business online-protecting IP in a borderless technological world.

The workshop is being facilitated by Steven Seiferling, a lawyer with years of experience working in intellectual property law. Because the workshop covers the basics and because Steven has experience working with people from many different areas of the creative industries in respect to IP and business law, we wanted to open it up to all the creative industries.

The workshop runs January 24th in Regina and January 26th in Saskatoon from 9am-12pm, with a networking lunch to follow both workshops. In Saskatoon, the lunch is proudly sponsored by Innovation Place.
