NEW “IN TUNE 2016” SHOWCASES SASKATCHEWAN’S BEST NEW MUSIC
SaskMusic’s newest double-album compilation has been released! In Tune 2016 is a 2-CD set featuring 40 stellar tracks by some of Saskatchewan’s best musical artists, many of whom are currently engaged in national and/or international export initiatives. The project has been created for promotion and distribution primarily to music industry professionals around the world, including to media, talent buyers, music supervisors and labels. It will be travelling with SaskMusic and our artists to national and international market events such as Reeperbahn (Hamburg), BreakOut West (Regina), Americana Music Conference (Nashville), Iceland Airwaves (Reykjavík), SXSW (Austin), Canadian Music Week (Toronto), The Great Escape (Brighton), and many other events that SaskMusic will have a presence at during the coming year.
Available as a stream to the public, and to the industry as digital downloads and a physical release, it includes representation from a diverse assortment of musical styles. Artists were selected by a music industry jury, following a general call for submissions across Saskatchewan. The In Tune series began in 2007 and has continued since, with Saskatchewan music from all genres travelling the world with SaskMusic.
