The Canadian Country Music Association® (CCMA®) is pleased to announce that Saskatchewan’s Amy Nelson is the winner of the 2016 CCMA Spotlight Performance Contest. Amy was selected to represent the Saskatchewan Country Music Association (SCMA) in this fan-voted contest hosted online by the CCMA.

The highlight of winning the CCMA Spotlight Performance Contest is securing a performance spot at an official CCMA-sanctioned event during Country Music Week, taking place this year in London, Ontario from September 8 – 11. Amy will perform at an ALL NEW public Country Music Week event, which will be unveiled later this summer.

In addition to her performance spot at an official CCMA-sanctioned Country Music Week event, Amy will also receive a full delegate pass to Country Music Week, accommodations and airfare to the event, and a one-year membership to both the CCMA and SCMA.

“This is the sixth year for the CCMA Spotlight Performance Contest. It’s been amazing for us to watch the initiative grow, and to see how the participating Music Industry Associations and finalists rally around the opportunity,” said Don Green, President of the Canadian Country Music Association. “We’re so proud of Amy and this accomplishment, and can’t wait to see her perform in London.”

Thank you to the Provincial Country Music and Provincial Music Industry Associations from across Canada who supported and endorsed their local country talent in this national initiative.
