Saskatchewan Country Music Association offering free broadcast of the Gala Awards

SaskTel maxTV™ customers will have the exclusive opportunity to watch free live coverage of the 27th Annual Saskatchewan Country Music Association (SCMA) Gala Awards Show on Saturday, April 23, 2016.  Live broadcast of the awards show will begin at 7:00 p.m. The awards show will be on channel 49 and channel 349 (HD), and will also be available on maxTV Local on Demand in a number of days on channel 48 and channel 348 (HD).

Award-winning singer, songwriter, philanthropist and former NHL draft pick, country music artist, Chad Brownlee (MDM Recordings Inc./Universal Music Canada) will host the Gala Awards Show.  The show will include performances by Lisa Moen, Aven Grace & Barbara Leavins, Wyatt, Codie Prevost & Jess Moskaluke.

Leading the field for 2016 with 6 nominations is Jess Moskaluke (Langenburg, Sask.) who recently received her second CCMA Female Artist of the Year accolade.

Alex Runions (Regina, Sask.) & Samara Yung (Yorkton, Sask.), follow with five nominations.
