Tyler Gilbert releases new sound with
his 4th studio album “The Montana Kid”
Tyler Gilbert will release his 4th studio album… “The Montana Kid” on May 2nd on indie label Farmageddon Sound Records. The album has been described by Gilbert as a new sound for him, as he leans more toward twangy country rock, which is clearly evident on tracks “Stains” and “Wash My Road Clean”. “The Montana Kid” is Gilbert ‘s first full length of all new material since 2013’s “OK Murphy”.
“The Montana Kid” will be supported by an extensive Canada/ USA tour, including stops at major events such as the Ohio State Fair, Sound of Music Festival, Bow Valley Jamboree, and the World Women’s Curling Tournament.
Produced by Justin Bender (Third Ion, Into Eternity), the album features high profile musicians such as Mike Young (Devin Townsend Band, The Matinee), Aaron Edgar (Drumeo, Third Ion), Val Halla, Glenn Sutter, and Ian Cameron. The album was funded in part by Creative Saskatchewan’s recording production grant and an IndieGoGo fundraising campaign.

As far as accolades go, Calgary born, Saskatchewan based singer/songwriter Tyler Gilbert has been nothing short of an indie sensation since releasing his 2008 debut EP Vos to his last release OK Murphy(2013).
