League of Wolves, four small-town Saskatchewan childhood friends (Dillon Currie, Ethan Stork, Aspen Beveridge and Greig Beveridge) have joined forces with four-time JUNO award winner Leot Hanson, former lead guitarist of The Sheepdogs. After less than a year since their debut self-titled album release, League of Wolves is ready to unveil a new collaborative/co-written four-song independent EP titled Like It Should Be on April 8th via CD, iTunes and Bandcamp, followed by a soon-to-be-announced prairie tour.

“Before being involved in LoW songwriting and performances, Leot used to come by the band house (where we all lived together) to jam and hang out. Initially he was more of a mentor and a good friend to us, but over time it naturally felt like he was becoming a member of the band. Eventually we began writing and exchanging ideas and making music together. Leot had a huge part in the creative process and in the production of the songs in the studio. Once again the band recorded in a previously abandoned country school near the village of Piapot SK. The album was recorded by LOW’s own Aspen Beveridge who studied Audio Engineering at The Banff Centre with prestigious instructors Shawn Everett (Weezer, KD Lang, Bob Dylan) and David Gleeson (Lord of the Rings, Celine Dion). The EP was mixed by Grammy-winner Jacquire King (Kings of Leon, Modest Mouse) and mastered by Grammy-winner Richard Dodd (Dixie Chicks, Tom Petty). The first single, You’re Killin’ Me, is about temptation and submitting to darker urges. It was inspired by experiences the band has had out on the road.
