Saskatchewan Celebrates 2015 JUNO Nominations

The Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences this morning revealed nominees for the 44th annual JUNO Awards. SaskMusic celebrates the following JUNO nominations for our artists:

Jess Moskaluke

Breakthrough Artist of the Year
Country Album of the Year
for Light Up The Night (MDM/Universal)
These are Jess’ first JUNO nominations. She recently received the award for Female Artist of the Year at the 2014 Canadian Country Music Awards.

The Deep Dark Woods

Roots & Traditional Album of the Year: Group for Jubilee (Six Shooter/Universal)
The Deep Dark Woods were also nominated in this JUNO category in 2012, for “The Place I Left Behind.”

Shooting Guns

Metal/Hard Music Album of the Year for Brotherhood of the Ram (RidingEasy/Pre-Rock)
This is the first JUNO nomination for Shooting Guns. This album was also named to the Long List of the 2014 Polaris Music Prize.

CTV and The Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (CARAS) also revealed the first list of performers set to appear on CTV and CTV GO’s live broadcast, including Arkells, Hedley, Kiesza, MAGIC!, and Shawn Mendes. THE 2015 JUNO AWARDS airs Sunday, March 15 on CTV from Hamilton ON’s FirstOntario Centre. The 2015 JUNO Awards and JUNO Week events and festivities will be hosted by Hamilton March 24-30, 2014.
