THE PISTOLWHIPS release album, video and website after breakout year: 2013 brought wind to the sails of Saskatoon’s rising indie rock group. After spending years as bands between friends, gigs were infrequent and records were off in the distance. After a year that saw them open for The Sheepdogs at a 4,000 person outdoor Red Bull stage, win a spot at the SaskTel Summer Invasion in Regina, showcase CMW to a packed house in Toronto, and play several other sold out shows regionally, their sights have shifted to getting down to business. Their new album, “On Your Side” is now out and an Eastern tour is in the works, as well as dates including Grilledcheeseapalooza August 16, and Prairie Barge Festival August 30 in Winnipeg MB
