Jess Moskaluke and her label MDM Recordings Inc. (MDM) this month celebrated the Gold certification (marking 40,000 units sold) for her single, “Cheap Wine and Cigarettes.” The track is the second single from the album “Light Up The Night” released earlier this year and is produced by Corey Crowder (Jamie Lynn Spears) and mixed by Scott Cooke (Dallas Smith, Florida Georgia Line). She was the highest charting Canadian artist on the iTunes Country Singles chart for over 14 weeks, and also reached #12 on the BDS Country chart. The single is included on the new NOW Country 9 compilation. On June 1, Jess sang the national anthems at the Toronto Blue Jays Country Day game, and performed on the mainstage at the Calgary Stampede’s Nashville North, Boots & Hearts, Craven Country Jamboree and Big Valley Jamboree, among others. She also has a cameo in the new Tom Cochrane video. Jess is currently nominated for three Canadian Country Music Association Awards (Female Artist of the Year, Rising Star of the Year and Interactive Artist of the Year), in addition to her design team being nominated for Album Design of the Year (www.jessmoskaluke.com).
