SaskMusic is pleased to congratulate the Saskatchewan nominees for 2014 Canadian Country Music Awards, to be presented during Country Music Week in Edmonton AB, September 4-7. Our artists are nominated in two of the most prestigious categories: Codie Prevost for Album of the Year (“All Kinds of Crazy”), and Jess Moskaluke for Female Artist of the Year. Overall, Saskatchewan is represented in fourteen award categories, celebrating the extensive talent this province has to offer.

Forty-one CCMA Awards will be presented over four award ceremonies during Country Music Week, eight of these on the 2014 CCMA Awards Show, broadcast on CBC Television from Rexall Place in Edmonton on Sunday, September 7 at 8pm CST, with encore airings on CMT. JUNO-Award winner Jann Arden and CBC-TV’s Gemini-Award winning host and comedian, Rick Mercer, will host the show. More tickets have just been released, and are available at all Ticketmaster locations, online at www.ticketmaster.ca or by phone at 1-855-985-5000.

The CCMA Fans’ Choice Award nominees were also announced today: Gord Bamford, Paul Brandt, Dean Brody, George Canyon and Johnny Reid.

Country Music Week is an annual celebration that brings together industry and fans for four days of seminars, networking opportunities and non-stop music. The week includes a conference, Discovery Showcases, Songwriters’ Cafés, Guitar Pull, FanFest and a whole lot more.

SaskMusic will have a presence at Country Music Week, providing performance spots and support for our many members and nominees who will be in attendance. Many of the official CCMA performance opportunities have not yet been announced, so please stay tuned for further details.

Additionally, we congratulate Samara Yung, who earlier was selected as the Saskatchewan Finalist in the 2014 CCMA Spotlight Performance Contest.
