Saskatchewan country musicians come together for Flood Relief Concert

With southeastern Saskatchewan being devastated by the torrential rains and flooding, Saskatchewan country music artists are coming together for a Flood Relief Concert on Saturday, July 12 at the Painted Hand Casino in Yorkton. All proceeds will go to the Canadian Red Cross Sask Flood Fund.

The concert will feature three-time CCMA nominee Codie Prevost; 2014 SCMA Female Vocalist of the Year Jess Moskaluke; 2014 SCMA Country Music Person of the Year Stephen Maguire; 2013 Next Big Thing winner Alex Runions; past SCMA award winners Samara Yung, J.J. Voss and Steve Gibson; as well as past GX94 Star Search Winner Kelsey Fitch.

Doors 7 p.m. Showtime 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $20 and are on sale at Yorkton Co-op, Shoppers Drug Mart and Loucks Pharmacy.

Second concert announced:

Saskatoon, Thursday July 10 at Mayfair United Church

PotashCorp has announced they will match dollar-for-dollar the proceeds brought in from the concert. With yesterday's announcement of the flood relief concert in Yorkton and planning underway for a third concert in Regina, PotashCorp will match up to $50,000 over the three events. All proceeds will go to the Canadian Red Cross Sask Flood Fund.

The audience can look forward to being entertained by Memory Lane: A Tribute to the '40s, '50s
and '60s, performing all the classics from artists like Buddy Holly, Dean Martin and Bing Crosby.
Fronted by the 2014 SCMA Country Music Person of the Year Stephen Maguire and under the
musical direction of Roy Sydiaha, the eight-piece band includes some of the city’s finest
musicians, all donating their time for this special show.

Doors 7 pm, Showtime 7:30 pm. Tickets are $20 and available at Saskatoon Co-op Food
