The SPAR partners (the Saskatchewan Arts Alliance, Saskatchewan Arts Board, SaskCulture and University of Regina) is asking all artists and Saskatchewan residents to participate in a grassroots study of the Arts Ecology of Saskatchewan. This will help SPAR, arts organizations/agencies, and governments to  develop appropriate programs, policies and funding to strengthen the arts, cultural and economic fabric of the province. This is your chance to speak up and be counted, plus you could win an iPod Nano! Saskatchewan residents over 18 years of age will be asked about their connections with artists and arts organizations; their own engagement in creative activities; and the value they place on artists and their work. The deadline for completion of the survey is May 14, and individuals can also complete the survey by telephone or on paper by contacting the SPAR office. Artists are also encouraged to visit the Saskatchewan Arts Alliance website and sign up on the Artist Registry, which is the only way to ensure you are counted as an artist living and working in Saskatchewan. For further information, please go to the SPAR website, or contact Mary Blackstone, SPAR Director at spar@uregina.ca or 306-337-3165. The survey can be found here.
