SaskMusic is pleased to learn of the Government of Saskatchewan’s plans to establish Creative Saskatchewan - a new agency that will assist in bringing Saskatchewan's creative talent to market, accompanied by a $1 million transition fund (provided by the Saskatchewan Arts Board) to support Saskatchewan projects until the new Creative Saskatchewan agency is launched later in 2013.

SaskMusic has been a participant in the recent creative industry consultations undertaken by the Ministry of Parks, Culture and Sport, and is pleased that there will be a commitment made specifically to the marketing of Saskatchewan creative products.

Mike MacNaughton, President of SaskMusic, states, “We look forward to further developments in the definition of this new agency. We believe our industry will continue to grow through working collaboratively with our fellow Saskatchewan creative industry organizations.”
