Saskatchewan Nominees Up For Seven Indie Awards

SaskMusic is pleased to acknowledge the highest number of Saskatchewan nominations to date for Independent Music Awards – The SiriusXM Indies. Winners will be announced during Canadian Music Week at a gala to be held on Saturday, March 24, 2012 at the legendary Canadian Ballroom of the Fairmont Royal York Hotel, Toronto, and will include a performance by The Sheepdogs. The show will be broadcast live to air on “The Verge” (XM 151) and “Iceberg” (Sirius 151).

An initiative of the Canadian Association for the Advancement of Music & the Arts, the awards – now in their 12th year - acknowledge, promote and honour achievements of Canadian and international artists in the independent music sector. Winners are determined by both a public and an industry vote. Voting is now open at www.indies.ca.
