Megan Nash March Tour w/ Jenny MacDonald

January 31, 2012

What’s better than a hard-singin’, whiskey-slingin’ redhead? Why, two of course! Megan Nash and Jenny MacDonald began their redheaded sisterhood in 2009 at the Nova Scotia Community College’s music business program and have been longing to hit the road together ever since.

Nash, hailing from Mortlach, Saskatchewan, and MacDonald, from Antigonish, Nova Scotia, have more in common than their small-town upbringing and their luscious red locks; they’ve got big voices, big personalities, and big careers ahead of them.

“[Megan Nash’s] voice has an ageless quality to it that could place her anywhere between 21 to 55.” - Gull Lake Advance

“MacDonald sounded like the proverbial ‘old soul in a young body’ " – The Chronicle Herald

NASH is a staple in the Saskatchewan music scene, well-known for performing and co-writing the CFL Saskatchewan Roughriders’ theme song, “Ride On”, and has been making waves with her new full length release, “Tough Love” – a mix of Pop and Roots.

MACDONALD, known as ‘the small girl with the big voice’, is a two-time 2011 Nova Scotia Music Award nominee (Blues Album of the Year/Digital Artist of the Year), and has worked alongside high-profile musicians such as Grammy Award-winning Gordie Sampson. Her second full-length release, “Bye, Bye, Mr. Bluesman,” is a mix of Blues, Swing, and Pop.

The pair will stage-combat for six western Canadian shows in Saskatchewan and Alberta.
