CIMA x NAC: 50 Free Memberships for Canada's Next Wave of Artists & Music Entrepreneurs

Open Deadline

The National Arts Centre (NAC) is partnering with CIMA to invest directly in the future of Canadian music.

The NAC is funding 50 free CIMA memberships for artists and developing music businesses across the country, helping remove barriers and unlock access to the tools, networks, and knowledge needed to build sustainable careers.

As Canada's national home for the performing arts, the NAC is committed to supporting artists and revitalizing the cultural sector. This initiative is a continuation of that commitment, supporting, celebrating, and elevating Canadian talent on both local and international stages.

Through this partnership, CIMA provides recipients with meaningful, career-building support, while expanding its reach and broadening its impact, making the music ecosystem stronger and more equitable.

What selected applicants will receive:
Successful applicants will receive a complimentary 1 year CIMA Membership, designed specifically to support artist entrepreneurs and emergent independent music businesses. Benefits include:

Professional development and industry-focused training
Access to networking events and export opportunities
Industry discounts and curated resources
Entry into CIMA's Make It Better mental health benefit program

Why this matters:
This initiative is about more than membership, it's about building a stronger, more inclusive Canadian music industry.

By removing financial barriers and increasing access to tools, networks, and knowledge, CIMA and NAC are working together to ensure that Canadian artist entrepreneurs and music businesses from all backgrounds can grow, connect, and thrive, both at home and internationally.
