Mentorship Opportunity: Become a LIVE Arts Guest Artist

Mentorship Opportunity: Become a LIVE Arts Guest Artist

Open Call for Guest Artist Submissions

Deadline: March 29, 2026

LIVE Arts invites artists to apply to be guest artists for the 2026-27 season broadcasts. Emerging and established artists are encouraged to apply. LIVE Arts is a dynamic distance education arts program designed for Saskatchewan students in Grades1-8, and supports the Saskatchewan Arts Education Curriculum and is delivered via the Saskatchewan Ministry of Education LIVE Network (CommunityNet).

The program enables professional artists to connect with teachers and students in multiple schools across Saskatchewan for a live arts education experience. Teachers register for grade-specific broadcasts on the website, where they can find information about the guest artist, discipline, grade level, date and time. Teachers also have access to guides and additional educational resources for each broadcast.

The series for the school year includes a full range of art forms, the work of Indigenous artists and French programs. LIVE Arts produces over 30 broadcasts annually, typically four per program, with each program delivered over two days in a school setting. Each guest artist will be compensated for two planning days and one to two presentation days (depending on scheduling needs) in accordance with CARFAC rates.
