Professional Development Opportunity: Black Canadian Music Manager Incubator Program

Deadline: October 3, 2025

Breaking Down Racial Barriers (BDRB) is proud to launch F.A.M.E. (Foundations & Acceleration for Management Excellence) — a brand new, free national incubator program designed to empower and equip Black Canadian music artist managers with the tools, knowledge, and industry access they need to thrive.

From hands-on training to community and mentorship, F.A.M.E. is here to drive meaningful change and amplify Black excellence in music.

What’s in F.A.M.E.?

  • Weekly workshops on management, financial planning, legal essentials, marketing, social media, touring & publishing
  • Facilitation by veteran music manager Katrina Lopes (KL Management / Maidie Music House)
  • Guest speakers, mentorship & networking opportunities
  • A curriculum rooted in the realities and cultural perspectives of Black music managers

This free program runs from October 14 to December 4, on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1 to 3 pm (EST).

The program is specifically for artist managers, not self-managed artists.

Deadline to apply is Friday, October 3, 2025 at 11:59 pm (EST).
