Professional Development Opportunity: Black Canadian Music Manager Incubator Program

Breaking Down Racial Barriers (BDRB) is proud to launch F.A.M.E. (Foundations & Acceleration for Management Excellence) — a brand new, free national incubator program designed to empower and equip Black Canadian music artist managers with the tools, knowledge, and industry access they need to thrive.
From hands-on training to community and mentorship, F.A.M.E. is here to drive meaningful change and amplify Black excellence in music.
What’s in F.A.M.E.?
- Weekly workshops on management, financial planning, legal essentials, marketing, social media, touring & publishing
- Facilitation by veteran music manager Katrina Lopes (KL Management / Maidie Music House)
- Guest speakers, mentorship & networking opportunities
- A curriculum rooted in the realities and cultural perspectives of Black music managers
This free program runs from October 14 to December 4, on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1 to 3 pm (EST).
The program is specifically for artist managers, not self-managed artists.
